Proudly presenting a Black Background Workshop for all my fellow Equine Photographers!

Ever wonder how I take these black background portraits with strictly natural light? On March 23rd in Santa Clarita, California I'll be hosting a Black Background Equine Workshop where we will discuss posing, lighting, and shooting techniques on our equine models! Photographers will not only be able to photograph and add the images to their portfolio, but we will sit down together to go over editing the images you captured (Photoshop and Lightroom required)!

SHOOT LOCATION
Sand Canyon
Santa Clarita CA

CLASSROOM LOCATION
Casa de Shier
Saugus CA

A more complete schedule with address to locations will come out as we come closer to the event.  A week to two before the workshop.  Due to the nature of the horse business and weather, schedule changes, subject matter and location changes may be necessary

_______________________

SHOOT - Will have at least 2 hours that break down the entire photographing process of natural light black backgrounds with our equine models. Topics such as posing, lighting, and shooting techniques on multiple live models will be discussed.

EDITING PARTY - Will have at least 3-4 hours that break down the entire editing process of natural light black backgrounds. Topics such as problem areas, cloning, floor replacements, and eye enhancements will be covered.

_______________________

SKILL LEVEL NEEDED - You must know your way around your camera and have basic skills in Photoshop, "newbies" are always accepted, but Iโ€™m known for moving extremely fast so there is not a lot of time to teach the basics such as where the brush tool is in Photoshop.

You MUST have a laptop with current Photoshop/Lightroom (and working) before we start if you would like to participate in the editing process. If you donโ€™t you are welcome to watch and take notes!
_______________________

LENSES NEEDED - Lens 70-200mm or 85mm (or larger) strongly suggested. However, ALL types of lenses work for these images. We will discuss why during the workshop!

We are opening this workshop to 10 photographers
