TRISTAN // LA TUNA STABLES 🖤 Love when I get some black on black
Hey friends, I’m Sara 👋🏼 and I’ve been horse obsessed since 1993 🐴 I knew the obsession was going to be a lifelong passion after meeting this big guy right here. Marco is my 17 year old Thoroughbred that I’ve had the privilege to call my best friend for nearly 13 years! 💗 We’ve done just about anything and everything from the meter jumpers, gymkhanas, running down the beach, up mountains, sorting cows, and been on the jackpot road for years on end.
October 15th 2016 I decided to rebrand and revamp my business and started offering mini sessions for just $50 dollars. 📷 100s of horses later, I now host styled shoots and workshop for fellow photographers so they can have a chance to work with and learn how to photograph horses. Wether it’s because they believe in me, my craft, or the ability to bring out the best in them, I’m honored to be in the presence of individuals who are always looking to grow. 🦄 I’m so excited for the group that is joining me for the SSP Workshop July 14th! We will be diving into the nitty gritty of photographing horses, reading light, working with problem horses, and getting that million dollar shot in non-ideal situations. 🙆🏻‍♀️ If you’re interested in joining feel free to message me to get all the details! When in doubt laugh it out 😂 When it comes to my business I have a lot of “meh why not” moments, just like when I agreed to travel to Scottsdale Arizona to photograph these two! 🐴 Even if Cooper didn’t want to cooperate most of their session and was determined to run into a cactus, I LOVED that no matter what, he made Angelina glow with laughter and never frustration (maybe she was hiding it, who knows!) 🤷🏻‍♀️😘
Back in June of 2016 I had this crazy idea that I was going to drive all the way to Mew Mexico to go pick up this horse 🐴 Everyone thought I was nuts, especially Nick! Either way, he insisted he was coming with me and made the 18 hour haul to Pep New Mexico. 🚗 Best part of the story? When I unloaded Sawyer at a rest stop in Arizona to give him a break, he put is face right up to Nick and gave the loudest scream I had ever heard from a horse 😂 Nicks replay? “What is wrong with you.”
